The Story

Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA’s) are essential amino acids required by the body to be consumed from food or supplements as they can not be biosynthesized internally and consist of Leucine, Iso-Leucine and Valine.

Within the body, BCAA’s are 3 of the primary amino acids responsible for the  repair and regeneration of muscle tissue in a state of catabolism, as well as being the primary anabolic amino acids for muscle growth.

Utilising a BCAA formula around training in either the pre, intra or post workout phase will help minimise the risk of muscle breakdown, has been shown to enhance performance during training and will aid in improving the speed of recovery in the post workout phase.

Aim to consume a minimum of 3g of Leucine in one sitting as this is the key amino acid utilised for unlocking the potential for muscle growth, via the stimulation of mTor and consequently, muscle protein synthesis.
